Fall Internship Positions are Now Filled

Campus Organizing Internship:

MnASAP currently has two internship positions open to current students and recent graduates interested in gaining experience as a nonprofit organizer on their college campus.  The organizing intern will coordinate an F-35 campaign on their campus as part of a national movement to redirect military spending to domestic needs, specifically student tuition.  The interns will research the trade-offs for excessive military spending (the F-35 in particular) and how that affects student tuition and debt burden.  They will then continue a photo petition campaign to build support for Representative Keith Ellison’s Peace Conversion Bill, arriving in the House of Representatives later this year.

Candidates must be able to work 2-3 hours per week and attend a short training in September.  Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge about social media and social movements.  We encourage applicants to apply for course credit for the internship.  To apply please send a cover letter and resume to andrea@mnasap.org.

Graphic Design for Social Change Internship:

MnASAP currently has one position open to a current student interested in putting their graphic design and social media skills to use for social change.  The Graphic Design Intern will design creative, satirical, factual graphics for use in social media outlets and community/campus events to raise awareness to the injustice of excessive military spending and support Representative Keith Ellison’s Peace Conversion Bill, arriving in the House of Representatives later this year.

Candidates must be able to work 2-3 hours per week and attend an intern training in September.  Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge about social media and social movements.  We encourage applicants to apply for course credit for the internship.  To apply please send a cover letter and resume to andrea@mnasap.org.
